RD’s Visit Texas Ranch

The Texas Beef Council (TBC) recently hosted 11 registered dietitians for a farm to fork tours held in the Fort Worth area. The tour began with attendees learning more about beef nutrition through presentations covering the evolution of lean beef, beef’s nutrient profile and a summary of beef nutrition research. Experts in animal and meat science also presented a beef industry overview covering the production process from pasture to plate prior to the group touring the ranch. The Texas Beef Checkoff Program continues to invest in demand-building programs such as farm to fork experiences.
